Nadja (Nadia) Pasic has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2005 and has over 25 years of experience in Management, Sales, Marketing and Administration. We sat down with Nadja to discuss her love of Vancouver, advice for aspiring Real Estate advisors and where to go on your first trip to Croatia.
How did you first get into Real Estate?
My father worked in Commercial Development and Sales in Saskatchewan where I grew up, so with this history, coupled with my interest in marketing and design, it was a natural fit to become a REALTOR®. I was introduced to Engel & Volkers by an acquaintance and fell in love with the brand. I joined the company right away.
How do you like to spend a relaxing weekend in Vancouver?
Vancouver is such a vibrant, diverse city and there are so many little communities to enjoy and explore. When I’m not working, I love spending time all across the lower mainland, hiking, walking the seawall, meeting friends and clients for coffee and eating at our fantastic selection of restaurants.
Do you have a favourite neighbourhood in Vancouver?
I have been living in downtown Vancouver for over 20 years and I absolutely love it. We have such a great balance of downtown living with every business service you can imagine, amazing restaurants, plenty of parks and the sea wall. Not to mention the great shopping and it just keeps getting better.
Do you have any recommendations for first-time visitors to Croatia?
If you’re planning a visit to Croatia, there are several stunning islands and cities along the Dalmatian Coast that would be a great place to start! Dubrovnik is a must-visit, this is where my family members are and we vacation there every summer. The capital, Zagreb, is perfect if you’re looking for a more cosmopolitan feel, Split is a great mix of beach and city, while Hvar is great if you want more of a party scene.
Visit dubrovniknow.com for our must-see lists which include our favourite beaches, walking along the city walls, shopping along Stradun, cliff diving into the Adriatic Sea and eating ice cream every day!
What advice do you have for aspiring Real Estate Advisors?
It’s a lot of hard work and there’s a wealth of knowledge and experience to be gained. You are running your own business and there are so many facets to the industry. My advice is to find a mentor, this will make things much easier in the beginning and throughout your career. It’s also very important to have strong communication skills and an understanding of our laws.
